<10% slower than the one in this deal. It is physically exactly the same chip but just forced to work slower. Need more memory for the toshiba but probably a better regarded brand.

thx. would it be enough for everday stuff but also editing short home hd vids. eg we shoot a lot of shorts using kodak sports cam 720p 60fps (can do 1080i at 30fps too). also panasonic sd dvd camera....
i dont want to do the false economy thing...buy a bargain when it doesn't suit the requirements etc.

I dont really know. I think video editing is one of those things where the processor speed and amount of memory has a tangible benefit with more being better. However, for every day internet stuff this is more than fine.

ok thx,

Mine arrived today & guess what? It's faulty straight out of the box. They obviously don't check them before they send them back out.

Mine also came today, looks brand new and unused. Going to take ages to uninstall all the pre installed crap though...

Mine didnt even last a week. Has to go back for faulty touchpad. Amazon will only refund not exchange. Having spent 10 hours setting it up and downloading all of the updates for Windows 7 etc I wish I hadn't bothered.
