Good price for a C2D laptop. The CPU is 2GHz (Benchmarks here: http://www.cpubenchmark.net/cpu_lookup.php?cpu=Intel+Core2+Duo+T5800+%40+2.00GHz) and the GPU is a Intel GMA 4500MHD.

for that sort of money i'd rather get one with a free update to windows 7

Those ones that say they come with a free windows 7 upgrade voucher, they charge up to £25 shipping.

Get one that doesn't then :whistling:

You'd be limited to Mesh and Chillblast PCs then.

Ok i'll correct myself

For that sort of money i'd rather get a laptop isn't a pile of p*o and instead get one where i have to pay a small amount to have a better OS installed. happy now

Acer laptops are not a pile of p*o. They are now one of the most reliable ones in the world, and the company has a history almost as old as Dell, or HP.

Granted this is not the best model or the highest quality, but for the price I think its a cracking deal. Only thing is the hassle of having to send off for the upgrade, wait for it to arrive, and do it yourself.
