Looks HOT
Anyone know how long this deal will be on?

And is 0.3 HD MP Crystal Eye Webcam ? I see my 3yo laptop has 1.3MP

And is 0.3 HD MP Crystal Eye Webcam ? I see my 3yo laptop has 1.3MP

Probably a mistake, but i could be wrong
am quite interested in this
does any one who knows more than me have any opinions on this

amazon reviews are very good

And theyre selling it for over £500!
I was torn between this one in the deal and this one
Not trying to push my own deal but isn't this better value?
Not trying to push my own deal but isn't this better value?

Depends what you want really. Yours looks really good, because of the dedicated graphics card and Win 7 update. This deal has a bigger hard drive though.

Personally, I would go with your deal as opposed to this because of the price, graphics card and win 7 update
Not trying to push my own deal but isn't this better value?

imo - yes,it is
Not trying to push my own deal but isn't this better value?

In terms of price yes but Acers i find are better and Compaq are crap,

i thought acer were quite poor build wise ( and support wise)
Went to look at this laptop in PC World although the one they have is only 250gb, but anyway the laptop is UGLY, in my opinion anyway. Recommend you go view it before buying. I had been all set to go buy one before I saw it.
I have a different acer aspire in the same case and its brilliant, superb value.

I had another acer aspire for 5 years before this and it was also very reliable, had a new power supply outwith warrant foc, also had a replacement mobo early on due to me using it on my laptop and damaging the power socket.

I have no bad words to say about Acer, had more issues with Dell personally

*cough* :whistling: for those willing to sacrifice a bit of RAM and HDD space for better graphics:
both deals linked about are better, with dedicated graphics.

Voted cold.
In terms of price yes but Acers i find are better and Compaq are crap,

I have had bad experiences with HP / Compaq .. Acer is better.
I think this is just as good a deal This one also has 3 year warranty
In terms of price yes but Acers i find are better and Compaq are crap,

That's your single opinion - a more statistically valid sample organised by Which? put HP/Compaq middle market and Acer lower down. If reliability and service backup really matters but you don't want to pay silly Sony/Apple prices then Toshiba score best along with Samsung.
£100 off because it's Vista not Win7. Seems about right to me.

Good spec for the price but not super hot considering it's an Acer in my view. Warm.
I bought this laptop about 7 months ago. It's a pretty good piece of kit. Never let me down yet.

One small gripe I have is that i'm never that confident with the keyboard... When I type, sometimes I look back, and there are letters missing. Probably a user error with me typing too lightly though!

I haven't checked this message for errors...I've left it as I typed it as a sort of 'test review' for you!
If there are no errors, buy one.
Now £429
*cough* :whistling: for those willing to sacrifice a bit of RAM and HDD space for better graphics:

This is the one I'd go for. You can always upgrade RAM, hard disk and optical drive, but the graphics chip you buy is the one you're stuck with.
#24 has 4Gb RAM, but I cant see if it is 64bit?
