Voted hot - it's a nice looking laptop anyway and as the OP said, the CPU is a slightly cut-down Core i series processor so very low heat output and decent performance (about 10-20% faster than C2D at the same clockspeed).

Only thing I wasn't sure of was whether the screen is LED-backlit or not? I was thinking on a 2010 model machine it probably is but couldn't confirm.

EDIT: according to Acer and Ebuyer it is LED-backlit.

UPDATE: confirmed, it definitely has an LED-backlit display, I ordered one for work.
