Not sure what people think of this in comparison to the Dell XPS series. I ordered a Dell XPS and will now vote it cold since their USB ports don't work properly and in 6 months, Dell haven't released a fix!

Anyway, a powerful high spec laptop here. I'm not sure what people think of Acer Aspire in general!

For my part, I try to leave my Logitech nano receiver connected in one of the two rear USB 3.0 ports. If I connect something, say an external HDD to this port, and try to copy files, the ports disappear. Sometimes the mouse just stops working on its own as well. It's a common problem, Dell still haven't fixed it, leaving me very annoyed as I waited a month for this laptop, and now it's back to hunting again!

I've done that, had no luck, unless you want to link me to one please, maybe it's a driver that I haven't tried!

I recently purchased a laptop from saveonlaptops. Customer services are impressive as far as i am concerned. Although, I received a laptop with faulty trackpad but they arranged for collection from home and delivered new within five business days.

Alright, cheers. I've heard a few who have received a faulty laptop to start with so I wondered if they were "seconds"?

Usually I wouldn't go harping on about screen resolution, personally I don't think you need 1080p on a laptop. However, this laptop has one of the better graphics chipsets that'll play quite a few things on high settings at good resolutions. Therefore, isn't it odd they didn't give this a 1600x900 screen? 2GB of dedicated graphics memory and you'll never have the Resolution to take advantage of it. Damn shame.
