That is a great spec for the money. They are usually around £430 mark for it. My bro inlaw had it and it had great sound too. I like acer's thought many don't. I think it is very good value for money.

Mega Deal here, although if your looking to play games then the Acer 5920 on Cdiscount is better (but £100 more).

There is more than one 5920 - including the 5920G (with the graphics card) that is usually never labelled. Always check the specs!

Looks good to me, not for games - kids have got xbox.

Any reason not to buy this ?

Avoid Acers they have a habit of failing to boot not long after the warranty has expired. I'm not scarmongering this has happened to our aswell.

Me and my two daughters have 3 acer laptops between us 2 of which are in this series. Though I paid a lot more than this for them, I can only advise that its a great laptop and outstanding value for money. I have never experienced any problems other than where installing a new piece of software gave an error. I simply reset it using Acer managment and it was like having a new laptop. If I needed to buy a good laptop for a bargain price then based on my own experience, I would not hesitate to buy this model at just over £300.

I have always used one or another Acer laptop for the last eight years and I find them to be excellent machines. They are usually great money for value, e.g. a HP laptop with a similar spec to this 5920 will be at least £430, and they are usually reliable. The build quality on Acers is poor comparable to other brands, so if u like having 'adventures' with ur laptop then maybe an Acer isn't right for you - try the new Dells or IBM for robust builds.

Actually eBuyer are doing a better speced HP for £430, but still this is THE £300 machine imo.

EDIT - Oh it's the 2GB RAM one - HP is better, but not neccesarily 33% better...
