This is a brilliant spec for the price, and after seeing a recent deal which didn't seem like particularly good value for money I decided to post one of my own. This laptop will play a great number of games (The 3470 can handle Medieval 2: Total War, Fable, Armed Assault and others without any hiccups... I haven't tried any newer titles but I would suspect that many would work. I, for example would guarantee that Call of Duty 4 would work on this laptop). It also comes with a respectable 250gb of storage for all your music, games and movies and boasts an Intel Core 2 Duo T5750 (Core 2 Duo is one of the best dual-core configurations out there... despite the similar names it is much better than Intel's entry-level 'Dual Core' models.

Full Spec as follows...

* Processor - Intel Core 2 Duo T5750 2 GHz Dual-Core
* RAM - 4 GB (installed) 4 GB (max) - DDR2 SDRAM
* Hard Drive - 250 GB
* Operating System - Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium
* Screen - 15.4 in TFT active matrix 1280 x 800 24-bit (16.7 million colours)
* Optical Drive - BD-ROM
* Graphics - ATI Mobility RadeonTM HD 3470
* Bluetooth - No
* Warranty - 1 year warranty
* Battery life (up to) - 3.5 hours

This is a brilliant deal folks, and once it's up on this site you know it's not going to last long! Happy Shopping!

Not a bad spec but personally I will be waiting to get a deal on a 16" true widescreen format laptop. Not voted hot or cold

I would just like to point out the graphics card issue in the description.

On the main page it is the ATI Mobility RadeonTM HD 3470
whereas the tech page shows it as an Intel GMA X3100

I checked the product Q&A as sometimes it is a typo, and found conflicting reports. Basically other people asked the same question and got two different answers.:?

It's got a dedicated graphics card.

It's got a dedicated graphics card.

i agree - i'm pretty sure it has, this deal is on a sister site to acer direct and the specs seem to match up for this model, probably added the card so it runs blu-ray, as the X3100 would struggle a lot!

this card has the Unified Video Decoder (UVD) for Blu-ray™ and HD DVD at full HD 1080p

Not long at all: £479 now (there is a £449 model but lower spec and no Blu Ray)
