yeah thats what i mean - its not particularly portable at the size and weight so battery life not so big a factor.

I'm 95% of the time always on mains :) Because my battery lasts about an hour and half lol! And cant imagine the battery life when gaming!

Looks like a nice desktop replacement :thumbsup:

Hopefully you can spend the 6 months weight-training to prepare, as it will be like a solid lump of lead to carry around.

Only real use is as a Desktop replacement... I have tried a laptop as that - don't bother just buy a desktop, cheaper better faster, quieter and easier to sort when something goes wrong, and since LCD monitors arrived, it doesn't look a lot worse either now!

I bought this yesterday from Argos - not sure if I like it. The screen takes getting used to - feels as if my eyes aren't wide enough apart to view the whole screen.

That apart, it's not a bad purchase - the trackpad has a weird surface to it - not the best. Portable enough for me, the only moving I expect to do, is from room to room, so portability not a great factor for me.

I should also add the the specs supplied were slightly different on my model (same cat no from argos)

4GB DDR2 RAM. = 4gb DDR3

* nVidia GeForce 9600M GT graphics card.
* 512MB graphics memory. = 1gb for me.
