i suppose my rational for putting this up is that while i accept the AMD cpu is not as good as an intel 5200u the radeon grsphics card is significantly better gpu than the intel dedicated graphics, both these cpu/gpu combinations far exceed anything needed for web browsing and light word processing so i am assuming the next most common need is gaming, in which the AMD combi will noticeably outperform the intel combi, and the reason i think it is a bargain is because its quite difficult to get a FHD screen for less than £500

so trying to compare like with like, this seems like a good deal for a reasonable gaming machine, from a good outlet

horse s for courses i guess, i have always been a bit negative about AMD cpu's myself, but this series looks a valid challenger to intel in this niche of the market.

my missus might be getting one, in which case i'll put it up against a toshiba l50 c 22l, i5-5200u with fhd ips screen, got it for £400, i'll be interested to see which gets best benchmarks, and if the acer is no good it can go back
