What is your intended usage by the way? I'm starting university this month so nice to see what other students are trying out if you are, or whether you are planning to game on a laptop etc :)

general use, dslr photos, office, streaming, i've had my current i5 laptop 4-5 years and its getting slow on boot up and in general, so i thought i'd go for a ssd and use an external drive for storage.

I don't think Acer build quality as good as hp. Acer keyboards seem to depress down when typing

see, i have experience the other way around and HP does add alot more bloat than acer. Different people different experiences right :)

Looks good. I'm not up there when it comes to tech so hoping someone can help. Everyone says to get at least 1tb storage so how does it work if only 128/256 SSD?

you can use an external hard drive (1tb around £50ish) or even memory sticks, all connect by usb.

Thanks. If you need an external one, why not just build one in? Seems strange to me... must be getting too old. Lol.

I bought this laptop after seeing this post because I had been searching for a while for a laptop that had 8 GB RAM, SSD storage, Full HD, i5-6200u (what they recommend for photography). Thanks for posting this I am so pleased with it. It even has a back-lit keyboard and aluminum cover. I also have a DSLR and I am beginner at Photography and I think this laptop will be perfect for me. I was looking at the Apple Macbook Pro 15 inch (starting at £1599) and I think getting this has saved me a lot of money.

Thanks, I have ordered one:D

I have received mine, it has a i5-7200u instead of i5-6200u:D, only thing I don't like is the Chi Mei screen which is horrible to look at, going to get a AUO panel.
