WTF Megatron PC?

Heat added for the design alone, can you buy this case from anywhere or something similar?

I'm interested in the PC, can it run Black OPs

where does it state the GPUs?
I can see the mention of 3 x 9800GTX but nothing for the 9600GT
#6
In my opinion it is as ugly as sin! Haha. But it also has blu-ray too, plus you can three way sli.

I had the same problem, try going here, or keep clicking on description and stuff.

worst designed pc ever...they had these in pcworld about 2 years ago.....they were about £1600, at the time i had just built my pc with a much much higher spec and better case (antec 900-2) for less than £800!!

the two 9600 graphics cards are about the same speed as my single GTX260

honestly dont be fooled by the case its not as robust as it looks....the front and arms are as flimsy as a broken cornflake packet and wont last long - plus its such terrible design it covers the optical drive - dumb!!

only good bits were:-
Three-way NVIDIA SLI graphics capability
Advanced liquid cooling system
easy access / removal of hard drives

The link doesn't work for me. The one for this price at http://www.amazon.co.uk/Acer-Aspire-G7200-PREDATOR-Sniper/dp/B00292BR68 is used

The 150 drive will be a wd raptor too

Just a used one with different specs to what has been posted???

System has a lot of positives for the price, but it has very old parts, it's ugly as hell (not to mention how impractical it is to have to move the front up every time you want to access the front), and comes with Vista.

I mean this would have been pretty much top of the line in 2008, so I'm sure it'll still run most things fine, but it has definite drawbacks. Plus, who knows what they mean by used.

As per the op, this sysytem is used although in like new condition so will be a customer return (probably unopened given the like new grading).

All amazon warehose deals are sold as used, however in my experience a like new item is still sealed 90% of the time

I've given it a whirl. My wee brothers pc is about 6yrs old and will play **** all, hopefully this will play some games.;)

for this money hot

So how much of the £393 has gone into the manufacture and design of that case? Too much! It's not meant to be a work of art!

looks like the predator

hellishly confusing description which differs from the actual computer for sale

also, its used? :S

Could build a far better spec and better looking machine yourself for the same price.

well the case is interesting, but the insides certainly arnt worth the price. - so for £200 more, i'm not surprised that you caught the flu.....

oh, and i was thinking more this: http://www.ironicsans.com/images/sandcrawler2.jpg

Price isn't bad but really isn't anything special bearing in mind it uses a lot of "old" components. Still capable but the graphics cards are probably the weakest link in the bunch. Could upgrade it but then again people with that level of tech knowledge wouldn't really bother with this.

Case is unique but does anyone have any real world pictures of it? It has a potential to look very tacky in flesh!
#23
Spec is a bit meh i agree. Its easy to dismiss this and say build something yourself but that isn't always what people want. However the graphics are mediocre for 2011

Go onto dell outlet and find an i7 for this price

Hot if the year were 2008. But it's very outdated for 2011 and not the prettiest thing in the world.

They still have this in PC world round the corner £1000, personally i hink its pants old spec with acer's amazing customer service and useless tech's are a match made in hell GPU's where fast 4 generations back but will be hammered by a 5770 or the like on its own and a new i5 will blow this away the CPU is a throw back to core2 quad days which 5 years ago where decent but not now for the same sort of money you can build something way better than this with current parts.

Cold Cold.

Acer, used, fugly, 3 yr old tech...

Good enough reasons not to buy.
#28
Rated cold, the system itself was probably top spec 3 years ago, but now it wont compete with others at the same price which include Incore i5 or even a i7 if lucky.

Sorry

Looks Sweet !

Expired after like, one sold, so who cares?

Was a solid buy for someone. Now expired.

What, it looks like a smacked **** and is the sort of thing a 8 year old lad would like the look of whos going through his transformers phase.

No hdmi port so cold from me.
#33
The parts are worth roughly what you're paying for them, which isn't bad for a prebuilt. Just replace the graphics card with something that's got a little more juice and you have a very capable gaming computer... I have a Q6600 (clocked higher than that Q9550, mind), 4GB DDR2 and a HD5850 that can run Crysis/Warhead/2 at max settings fine.

would say the graphics are mediocre - about same spec as a GTX260 which is fine at max for almost all games

if this was £200 then it may be worth it, if i did buy it (with my eyes shut), id put a better graphics card in it and hide the pc...lol!!
#39
A lot of people have said that they can build a far superior machine for same money. Would anyone care to elaborate on such a system?

I think your definition of max and mine are a tad bit different, considering in my last build I had a 5870 / 5850 crossfire with an i7 950 and 6 GB DDR3 all running on an X58 board so 16 x 2 on the PCI -E and I still had trouble running Crysis with everything Max at 1920 x 1080 at a decent enough framerate (60 fps) ! Infact the GTX 590 still cant run it at 60 fps with full aa and anisotropic on an I7 extreme ! lol Proof :p
