not in stock anywhere! Checked 9 stores.

EDIT: if anybody finds one pick one up for me and I'll happily pay the courier costs to your home.

Did this actually happen? Somebody buys a bargain with their own cash and awaits for a stranger to pay for it later?

Seems unreal.

It didn't because there arn't any.

but is the concept not exactly the same as...er i don't know...the forsale forum!!!! of course there'd be an exchange of details etc first, but it;s essentially no different so shouldn't seem so 'unreal'.

PC World deals suck.

They have one of each item and then expect people to visit their site and buy their other overpriced tat.

I understand the reselling part of if I just don't get why on earth somebody would do that for no profit at all.

The mythical Acer M3802s at Currys and PC world, I emailed both, Currys did not reply, PC World said "Thank you for your product enquiry dated 11/4/11.

This item is currently available for collection at some of our stores, however, we are unable to do a nationwide search to find the nearest store to you which has stock.

I would recommend using our reservation facility on our website http://www.currys.co.uk/www.pcworld.co.uk to check stock availability in your area. Alternatively, you can call us for assistance on 0844 561 0000 option 2, where our sales team will be happy to help.

So like an idiot I rang the number (with a bit of hope) gave the rep the Product code: 486237
he said its not on the system, he aked for the model number so i said Acer M3802, and he said, yes you got it lol not on the system, they had 2 or 3 different Acers on the website at great prices, but none in stock for delivery or store pickup, it was only the M3802 that said for store pickup, but no one knows what store lol, I was a bit surprised I never knew about these deals till it was too late as Currys send me emails all the time showing me stuff I dont want or dont need to buy, and the one thing I am looking for they did not tell me, and I dont see anything wrong in that guy asking if someone found a store with more than one to pick up another for him, make it a happy peaceful world a bit of helping your fellow geek whats wrong with that, sorry to go on but glad I found this place and I am not the only one down on PC World / Currys this weekend, feel a little better now i got my rant out lol, so if anyone out there does track down the Elusive, Mythical Acer M3802 come in and let us know we dont mind a bit of boasting, but dont gloat lol, just think yourself one lucky geek to have captured the prize that we are all seeking.

Tom
