OK firstly i know everyone doesn't have a Costco membership but I thought this deal needed to be posted!

Current Price for this is £314.99 + VAT @ Costco

but there is a £35 voucher off in store (it auto applies through the till) that brings it do £335.98 inc VAT

See spec from the box on the next post below

ive been looking for a netbook/ultra portable for a few weeks and could not choose one out of the different models out on the market.

Popped into Costco today and just my luck this was on sale so grabbed one!

Amazon have a similar spec aspire one 753 for £349.99 but that has only 3gb ram and 250gb hard drive and not sure if it is has HDMI as it doesn't advertise it.

U3600 CPU Passmark is 1044 Link: http://www.cpubenchmark.net/cpu.php?cpu=Intel+Celeron+U3600+%40+1.20GHz

GFX just says Intel HD but have just used Media Player Classic Home Cinema on a 1080p film streaming using Wireless-N and works spot on. Also tried the infamous Bird 1080p test film: Bird_42_MBit_ABR_(+-1.5 MBit) and also works spot on with no stuttering or freezes.

Also Costco offer 2 year warranty and offer a no quibble money back guarantee for 90days for computers, so if you use it and don't like it, give it back for a full refund no questions asked.

General use is superb, dont feel any slow downs at all. I do not play games so don't know how they are on this acer.

if anyone needs any more info let me know

The Celeron U3600 is basically a slower clocked Core i3 cpu without hyperthreading - it is a dual core cpu and runs at 1.2GHz.

What is Costco warranty like? Is it like an Asda one, ie will take pretty much anything back.

I'm pretty sure it is.
Have heard nothing but good about Costco's return service. Like Amazon :)

I recommend you install BatteryBar as it gives you much more information on your battery on your toolbar.

This is about the costco warranty - NOT the deal.

We bought two identical mobiles with line rental paid for a year in advance. One worked most of the time but occasionally switched off, and the other worked fine.

After about six months the second one started to switch off too - and worsened until it was close to unusable about a month later.

We took both back - as the other had started to get a bit worse too - and wondered what they would do as it was over 50% of the way through the line rental that had been pre-paid.

They refunded the entire amount - including what had been paid for the line rental already used - and also said they were having to do that a couple of times a day - as the phone clearly had problems.

I was also in one time, and saw a woman returning a TV as "it did not look as nice as I thought it would in my living room".

What?!?

That's what I said, Costco are good with returns, like Amazon...

Looks like you didn't read the word 'but' in my previous commend...

Hey I'm really interested in this laptop, but there is very limited information on the net, not even Acer UK website has it!!
The main thing I'd like to know is, are any of the USB ports energised? That is when the laptop is off, will any of them charge a mobile phone?
I'm looking to upgrade from my EeePC 701, but I use it nightly as a charging station as all 3 of its ports are energised, so this is an essential function for me.

Thanks!!
