This is the XP version of the AAO. It only includes 512MB of ram but it can still be upgraded to 1.5GB.

This is the cheapest I have ever seen the XP version.

(First deal, so be gentle).

Have you seen the RAM upgrade procedure for these? You have to take the whole computer apart!

Yep, I've seen it and done it. Anyone who is competant in building their own computers should be able to do it no problem, if you are not then I'd leave it alone.

512MB is plenty for netbook usage on XP, it's only an issue if you want to take it beyond the realms of word processing and web browsing that it would be an issue.

Cold from me, just purely because I got my Advent 4211 (MSI Wind) for £230 which has the 10" screen, 1GB RAM (admittedly smalled HD but not a big problem on a netbook).

Check out PC world website.... think they have the refurbished 4211 for £240..

Thats what I have and apart from no box and instructions, its brand spanking new.... who needs instructions anyway, i'm a man... and a box just cloggs up the bloody loft.
