The Acer Aspire One D250-0Bb is a 10.1" slim and stylish blue netbook that's only 1" thick. Features include an Intel® Atom™ N450 processor, 1GB RAM, 160GB hard drive and integrated sound card. The AOD250 has a 10.1" bright LED screen and battery life of up to 6 hours. Includes Windows® 7 Starter Edition.

N270 CPU not N450 as Tesco description suggests (features tab has the correct details however).

Be aware this is an old chipset (as OP mentions it's N270) - not the fastest but usable for light tasks.

Anyone worrying much about chipsets on Atom - so long as its the intel ones, is worrying pointlessly. There is so little real world difference that its not worth worrying about. Anyone buying one really should be looking for an ION chipset, or if not, spending no more than £150 for an Intel chipset based Atom (and unless you find a dual core atom - again, pointless to try and get a 450 instead of a 270, the differences are minimal.)

Cracking value, just gone for one :)

I'm using one right now, I've owned it for about a year & love it. Now my desktop only gets used if I'm going to burn a disc or back stuff up. Obviously you're not going to play any games from the last 5 years or so, but it does everything else. If you want to do any upgrades (as I did) then the HDD, RAM & mini PCI-e card bays are all easily accessible through flaps on the bottom.

P.S. Mine is running XP, I can't comment on Windows 7, but think Stater Edition might be gimped?
