Heat added. Seems great for £200.

£250 on amazon in choice of colours, quite a nice netbook was on QVC for £329 2 weeks ago. The android functionality is a bit of a poor implementation.

I saw them putting these out today instore. Had ALL colors and this one comes with windows not Android. It has the windows logo on it.

Windows and Android Dual Boot only Black available online. Hence why i mentioned Android implementation being rubbish.

"unprecedented processing power" with an Atom 450?
RRP £400 for a 10" netbook?
Makes me laugh :)

This is the second bestbuy 50% off deal on here with a fishy RRP (there's a Sony laptop from £799 -> £399 on here too).... I'm seeing a theme! :)

Still good for £200. But would say the Amazon price at £250 is a bit closer to it's real value :)

wasnt this the one got got top marks on the gadget show review about best buy budget netbooks?

Difference is this one has 250 GB HDD, Dual Boot Option and a 6 Cell Battery.
#12
worth noting that this is the faster of the atom processors being the Atom 550 rather than the more commonly used 450
#13
Good deal. I'd buy one if I had the spare cash.

Sure it has the 550? Doesn't say it anywhere on Best Buy's site.

You can get the D255 with the 450 or 550.

Any chance to get Quidco?

I dunno if 1GB of RAM would be enough though. Maybe I'd stick another 1GB in it and give it windows 7 professional instead of starter...apparently its poo Oo

10.1% topcashback
10% quidco

about £20 saving on top :)

Is this John Lewis deal, posted earlier today, not better as it has a 2yr warranty?

Edit: JL deal now showing as OOS.

This is the black version which is £199.99 on Amazon (but there's an offer of a free bag to go with it). It looks like it's the version with the single core N450 (try entering the bestbuy model code LU.SDE0D.045 into the search engine on Amazon). The N550 version is another £50.

@Voyagerweb : this isn't the Atom 550 Dual Core processor - the clock speed on the 550 is 1.5Ghz, this is the single core Atom 450 running at 1.66Ghz

Do not buy anything from Best Buy (worst buy). They have a very bad returns policy. There is a stocking or stacking charge on all returns even if you have a gift receipt that is being advertised on their website and in store. They charge you 10% on all returns which don’t say when you buy things from them.
I had a laptop for 3days returned it and got charged 10% of the retail price.
Beware of their policy when you buy from them.

A bunch of thieves.
#33
yes these are at pcworld for £199.99 but these are xp / android with an 160gb hdd - the one with bestbuy is win7 / android and 250gb hdd - ive ordered one - delivery 30/12/10.
#34
ive had to pay an 10% restock fee before with another company , but you get 10% cashback on purchase so " NOT COSTING YOU ANYTHING "

Is that only on electrical items? Ive returned games and other things to them with no problems or fee?
#37
i think its an 10% fee if you have opened product - if returned sealed no fee applies
#38
Distance Selling Regulations state they can't charge you a restock fee, so if they have, get in touch and state your rights.

Got this netbook from bestbuy...super fast delivery..arrived in 2 days. Like the netbook, would recommend this seller and netbook.

A cynical person might say that, as you appear to have signed up to Hotukdeals specifically to post this one enthusing comment about Bestbuy, that you might in fact be an employee...Not that I am cynical, of course.

I did infact phone Bestbuy and ask them about this netbook, and whether this (or any other of the D255 range) where dual core using the N550 processor, and I might as well have been talking to a monkey as he had no idea about single core, dual core or any sort of core, for that matter.

Very poorly trained customer service, and put me off buying one from them.
