Fantastic price for this, given that it has an OS and 2GB of RAM. I bought one for £129.99 from ebuyer with 1GB and no OS. That thread was a meltdown. Contrary to what most people say, my Vista Ultimate runs pretty well on it. As fast as any netbook anyway and with geforce 9400M it's got decent video too.

The dual core versions of this are clearly much better, but they're also £200 without an OS. This is a hot deal.

excatly why i posted it i thought you`d only get a refurb one or one with out a O/S on it for this kinda money so this is an extremely good deal but stocks will be limited like normal

Is it easy to upgrade RAM and HDDs in these "nettops"?
#4
Silly Q perhaps but this is just a desktop, right?

Plug monitor, keyboard, mouse & router in, and start surfing.

And single core I expect?

Oh, and don't forget your 3% quidco - nullfies the delivery cost. These make great little NAS drives you know. You can either add external storage or replace the HDD inside. They're about the same price as a NAS drive and with and OS can do so much more.

Mine is largely used for XBMC, but it also hosts logmein.com and homecamera software so I can check on the house when I'm out. I can also get access to all my files from anywhere in the world, and organise my torrents and such. Plus, it consumes such little power when not in use, it really is a godsend device.

Appears to be out of stock now

If you want to use the device for other purposes than to watch media (i.e. as thekenester mentioned) it's worth getting the dual core version - they're £189.99 on eBuyer at the minute but there is no stock.

Just having a look in Ebuyer and they indicate that they've more than 100 of the dual core Revos in stock. £199.99 though not £189.99 :|

Oh it's back at Ebuyer now, I wondered where their £180 revo went to. Looks like they made a new page for it too, losing the 70+ reviews page that I remember.

I'd recommend spending the extra to get a dual-core atom, it will make your PC much more responsive.

Got the dual core one from ebuyer £179 a couple of months ago. Can't fault it, and got keyboard and mouse with it, which i wasn.t expecting( needed a new one to replace old tower which had totally crashed !) It was ordered for me, wouldn't know where to start ! So i am impressed with what you get for money. Very quiet. you can just hear the fan as you switch it on. Not like the drone of the old HUGE tower ! Well pleased :0)

I have to agree. I'm totally blown away by how great my one is. It's so nice to sit here without the PC sounding like a bus is parked in the room! It is possible to get the dual core, 2Gb, 250Gb, Windows7 version for sub £200 so keep an eye out for that deal unless you're a linux fan when you can save about £50.
