You can do some light gaming on the Ion platform, but it won't be pretty.
The only drawback of the Revo is that it doesn't have a optical disk player, although you could always add an external USB one.
I considered the Revo but the lack of integrated optical disk player was a deal breaker for me.
Great deal though
I got that one, added another GB which I had hanging about from a netbook upgrade, dumped Linpus for Ubuntu and added a Windows 7 dual boot for good measure, to compare performance.
1080p is better using XBMC with Ubuntu than Windows 7, due to acceleration issues, although the forthcoming Flash 10.1 will supposedly fix this. MediaCentre plays 1080p properly though.
Looks cracking through my Sharp 37" 1080p telly and the Acer has optical out for sound as well.
Not to all TV's it doesn't!! I just bought the dual core one for my OH (£249.99 from play) and you get the bracket and bolts but it certainly will not in any way, shape or form bolt to the back of our 40" bravia!!

I searched for hours looking for a decent linux one with dual core and couldn't find one anywhere!!
His revo also refuses to accept the settings he put up! i.e it realises it is on a 1080p tv so sets it to that even though OH wants it set at 720p, each reboot it brings back the 1080p settings!!

I couldn't find any bolts with mine. When I noticed it wouldn't attach to my Bravia I didn't look that hard.
Needs an adapter plate from Vesa 75/100 to Vesa 200.
Large TVs have Vesa 200 fitting, smaller TVs have Vesa 75/100 fitting.
I couldn't be bothered ordering an adapter, so used some self adhesive pads :whistling:
They do the job and the Revo is still removable just by unclipping it from the mounting bracket.

The settings should stay 'fixed' if you use the nVidia control panel. You might need to download a new version from nVidia website.

Hmmm ok, thankyou for the info, I shall pass the details onto him. He used some super strong adhesive pads (keep the christmas decs up outside which are heavier) but it fell off the back of the tv yesterday anyway!!
Thankyou for this aswell :D

 get out of bed the wrong side?? I passed a comment about my experience!! This is a general retail price for these units, I was simply commenting about a few problems that I was having!! Grow up!
I'd like to see you get any two screws on a 200 x 200 mount into the holes in a 100 x 100 or 75 x 75 mount....:whistling:
Yes, you can install a DVB USB stick and it works fine and will integrate with Media Centre.
