don't know why it's cold. acer's timelinex is renowned for its long battery life. the one i used did give me around 6 hours (depends on your power management obviously). though it broke down in 6 months - i could have just hit the 1/1000 (or worse chance) bad luck.

My personal experience with Acer aint good. 3 laptops all broke within a month. Initially online store suggested to contact Acer as there was no DOA and Acer would deal with Warranty. Acer would only repair not replace.
After arguing it out with the store, they agreed to replace for a new one which was also faulty. Had another replacement (different more expensive model) which was also faulty!

Eventually got my money back and bought a Toshiba.
