I know the reviews for the iris card say that its not as good as if it was in a macbook retina but the MB does support 16gb dual channel which should speed it up slightly.

I think the i3 for £100 less might be a better deal on Amazon. You won't notice the slower speed that much, and will still benefit from a nice wee laptop.

On ULV 5000 graphics (40 CU) is about 10-20% faster than 4000 graphics (20 CU) being TDP limited (it cannot reach as high speed) but this seems to be a 28W TDP APU not 15W so it might be quite a bit faster since it has more headroom. It won't beat dedicated graphics but it is far better than yesterday's integrated graphics and almost on par with AMD's (at higher TDP).

On the other hand 28W (38 turbo?) is a lot compared to normal ULV 15W (25 turbo) on 12-13" platform so this will consume a lot more than similar ULV laptops.

Battery is only 4-cell so you pretty much need to carry the PSU if you want to use all the power but it should Turbo far higher/longer than other ULV laptops - so it should be faster.
