Anyone know what the speakers are like on this? I'm fed up of my Samsung's rubbish speakers!

Maybe the stand/base plate is just crap?

What is the point in 1080 on such small screens? Everybody I've ever spoken to who knows anything about TV's, says that your eye can't tell the difference of 1080 until you get over 40".

I see it as a gimick - something to put on the specs to make you spend more money. Anyone disagree?

I'm looking for a good 22" tv for my old man for christmas. Nothing special, he won't even have anything with HD going into it - just a normal sky signal. This deal almost fits the bill, but I think that my requirements could get me a cheaper TV (or a better one with less 'gimmicks'). He's currently got a rubbish Technika thing - Sky messes with the picture ratio so it doesn't even show the full screen! Why is it a fine line between rubbish and overspecced nonsense?
Any suggestions?

Anyone bought this? (actually, just noticed the OP mentioned they'd bought, my bad)

I was considering it, but would mainly be using it as a monitor from the VGA. Anyone know if the VGA port handles full HD?

Thanks.

P.S. Shame the USB seems to be only for servicing. Pity. Not sure why Argos list it is a feature, if that's it's only purpose.

VGA never handles full HD

Just increase the brightness, that'll do the trick, lol. HD is a big con anyway
