is this better than MSI Wind U135 Windows XP 7Hour Netbook - Black

Minimal difference, the one you linked to weighs slightly more and has a poor built in webcam, but if it's 7 hours battery instead of 4, I'd ignore those factors and get that one.

If you want battery power then the MSI is better. This one only has a 3 cell battery and though it says up to 4hrs, generally you wont get more than 2-3. Apart from that,it is a great little netbook. I paid £175 for a refurb, so this is excellent price for new.

Oh god... I miss Windows XP on my laptop. Mine's on Vista, and it's slow, glitchy and unreliable.

Battery is great on this machine, clean out all the rubbish and it runs like a little trooper with XP!

Thanks will go for the pc world deal then.

Depends whether you are happy with Windows 7 starter. Personally I prefer XP and the D260 from Argos has XP. The Dell has Windows 7.
#14
That's a nice price, but I want a HDMI output on the next netbook.

As for people with VISTA on netbooks, why not move to Ubuntu? That works very nicely on my Acer A150.

You'd have to be crazy to get anything other than the MSI Wind U135 from Argos for £150.

If you were thinking of a £200 netbook like the Dell, then I'd get one with a HD 1080p support & 11.6" screen for just a little bit extra such as the Lenovo Ideapad 12 for £220 (http://www.saveonlaptops.co.uk/Lenovo_IdeaPad_S12_904904.html)

These 10" netbooks are basically the same, and only differ in terms of:
1. battery life (MSI 6hrs, Acer 4hrs, Dell 7hrs)
2. build quality/design (MSI make quality netbooks, Acer did good job on Ferrari, Dell are usually quality)
3. Windows version (MSI has full version of XP, the Acer & Dell has limited Windows 7 starter)
4. Minor difference in HDD size (MSI 160gb, Acer 160gb, Dell 250gb)

I'm not sure how why you would pay an extra £50 to get a slightly bigger HDD, and an extra claimed 1hr of battery life.
