Acer F200 Ferrari One Laptop:
- AMD Athlon X2 Dual-Core,
- 2GB,
- 250GB,
- 11.6",
- ATI Radeon HD 3200,
- Windows 7 Home Premium

This is a nebook not a laptop
This has no CD/DVD drive, mistake on tesco website description.
- Bully

This is not a Netbook not Laptop. Its got the power of a Laptop in the size of a Netbook. The absence or presence of a CD/DVD drive does not determine its category. It can be called both. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=17S3Jvif5QA&feature=related

Beat me to it, noticed it a couple of hours ago while searching for my brother. He's just bought one, he was thinking about a netbook but I think this will be better. Hot!
#3
Yeah if I didn't have an Acer 3810 (which is better but double the price) would have bought one :-)

#7

portability of a netbook with more power/'style'/screen at netbook price

I have one of these, awesome price, except mine is the 3gb version.
Far quicker than the dual core atoms, screen is excellent. However it does get very hot, benefits from a laptop cooler underneath, otherwise emergency switch off kicks in. Saying that, its good for winter!
Plays 1080p fine, and even the odd game like sims 3 at native res which wife likes. Left 4 dead 2 not quite playable, even when cpu and gpu overclocked on min settings.

Battery life 2.5 hours streaming video over wifi, sound on max and brightness up about half. Can get near 4 hours at push with stuff turned down.

Voted hot, just like the laptop

can you tell me whats not good about it?

for a netbook, its fast. great sound quality. great build. and for the price you will NOT find better. this is currently 500 euros + in europe
#13
Its a better latop than a basic netbook, and has a better all round spec than them. I am not sure about the claims of an M11xr2 killer though. The HD3200 is a long way off the Nvidia card in the M11.

Netbook-sized laptop with a faster processor than an Atom and with discrete graphics (rather than integrated)...much more powerful than a netbook for netbook money
#15
can u do anything about the minging red back cover
#16
laptop looks cool , but specs not :|
#17
Hmmmn. Tempted. Isn't this an old machine now?

Remember the thread last year when Tesco were gonna sell this for £200 instore, which never materialised.
#18
Excellent deal, beats a lot of the current net books for price. The cheap ones come with XP mainly and with dedicated gfx and up to 4GB ram it's worth it

Spray paint it perhaps or buy a sheet of sticky back plastic

The HD 3200 is integrated graphics.

yes an old machine - but it used to come at a very high premium to get this spec. (~400 down to 330 or so i saw at cheapest)
so used to be twice price of netbook for higher performance but now its netbook price for higher than netbook performance.

Well technically at 11.6" it fits into the sub-notebook category and the technically the HD3200 is an IGP not a discrete GPU. But the last bit is spot on.

The only downside (apart from the garish red case) is no HDMI which is a huge oversight by Acer.

Ordered one thanks - only downside is the Ferrari logo.

great price for this, was weighing up my options between this and a timeline 3810tz for £300 about 5 months ago and decided to go for the timeline due to the bigger screen,

but if it was this price i would have probably bought this, you'd rather get this than a 10" netbook
