£484.99 with voucher. Not a bad deal imo considering the amount of ram and graphics card.

You ever had an acer or just relying on stories of others? I had a laptop for two years there and it is still going strong absolutely no problems, my brother still uses it. Plus the extended 3year warranty can be picked up for less than £50.

i had 3 Acer PCs, all of them broke within 9 months. They were media PCs and replacements etc

Ive had many an acer. I don't need to rely on stories from others as i have my own. I have 3 of my own actually. None of them are happy stories. They are good laptops, if you dont move them, otherwise they fall apart. Then theres their customer support who lie to you and then call you a liar.

Had TWO Acers, one is about 3 years old, light use, been very good. With 2Gb RAM in now (as it is so cheap!) it still does the job, mainly used at weekends, or if away.
The other was much higher spec, had 18 months heavy use as desktop replacement, (although with separate keyboard & mouse) ended up having to plug in a monitor as the screen clapped out. Was always noisy, & not very good performance, (oddly, much BETTER under Vista!) Bit of a duff buy that one. Glad to have got rid of it.

:thumbsup:I absolutely agree with you, customer support at Acer is the worst sh1te ever, they do not offer help.I was told not under warranty but if Isend it to them they will have a look at a cost.A computer that was less than 2 months old,I think not ...BEWARE ACER...:x

have had an acer laptop for nearly 4 years now..... absolutly amazing piece of kit....... so will not knock the laptops they create..... only thing i will knock is the customer service side of things if it does go wrong there is quite some fussing over it to get things sorted.....
