My son has the 512mb previous version. Screen is a little washed out and the charging point is a bit wobbly (compared to my 4x more expensive Toshiba) but brilliant at this price!

For anyone who doesn't mind refurb, Argos have been selling these on EBay for £44.99 for a while. Got one for my daughter. Absolutely great at the price.

One small negative. You cannot move apps to SD. Once your 8gb is full, that's it. My daughter had to choose what she wanted to remove when we tried to install more yesterday.

Anyone know if this support USB OTG?
Would make a good project for my Nissan Xtrail to replace the awful Sat-Nav which just happens to be a 7" screen...

Thanks, but tried it and it tels me what apps are moveable, but as the tablet itself does not appear to support moving them ti doesn;t work. Trying to resist temptation to root and custom ROM daughter's tablet! That'd sort it.

How? I have a different acer tab and cannot move apps to sd. Strangely, Alcatel smartphone (same version of android 4.2.2) allows movemant of apps!

I have purchased 6 of these as they are so good. And yes they have GPS and i am running sat nav on a couple of them. They have WiFi and bluetooth and the battery life is pretty good lasting nearly a day with lots of use. They dont have a rear camera.

No post code input. Takes half an our to put in town, street and then number to get where you need to .
Once that's all sorted its ok, but i'm always up for a bit of modding, and i could probably sell it for what i need to shell out

I was told by the previous owner of my car that the satnav didn't have postcode input, there is no box for postcode on the search screen. However I discovered by accident that in the city search section you can input the postcode, worth checking if you haven't tried this.

good price for a budget tab!

Had to return one of these after half the screen stopped registering touch inputs - originally bought at full price so was able to replace at no extra cost with the Asus MeMO Pad HD 7, which to all intents and purposes is a first gen Nexus 7 without the Google badge, much better tablet all round.

:p
No, but having lived with it for 3 years I prefer Google Maps on my phone. If I need to change my route or destination while I'm travelling I can just hit a button and tell the phone where I want to go. The X trail sat-nav needs me to pull over if I'm gonna do that successfully without risking my own neck and others.

Is there anything better at this price point?
#31
Cheers op bought one of these last night and so far it seems to be on par with my wife's 2012 nexus.
Thing is the label says 8gb but when I checked it's actually 16gb so don't know what's happened there.... Not complaining though :)
Oh and sky go does work
#32
Another point is it does have quite a few pre loaded apps which run in the background but it let's you disable them if you want :)

Can you export skygo to a TV from this either using a cable or something like chromecast? Or is it locked down like the ipad app.
#34
Not sure about cable but I don't think so as it's only got the micro USB connection and chromecast won't do it as sky use their own video player.
Maybe if you use the chrome browser app to play sky player then send it to the chromecast, but when I have done normal video on the pc chrome browser it's been laggy as hell

Has anyone else on here got this tablet?
I've had if a few days now and the screen seems to be playing with my eyes it feels like I'm looking at a 3DS screen and after a while my eyes are straining.
Just wanting to know if anyone else has noticed something like that on their tablet
Cheers

My daughter has one. I've used it quite a bit and not noticed any problem. Sorry.
