I can't find a laptop with a decent dedicated graphics card for cheaper. The 2GB nvidia GT 840m is a mid-range mobile graphics card which is capable of playing new games at decent frame rates at low to medium resolutions (make sure you turn down the anti-aliasing).

Benchmarks:

The crew - 1280x720 41.8 fps
Dragon age: inquisition - 1266x768 35.7 fps
Far cry 4 - 1366x768 33.2 fps
Assassin's creed: unity - 1024x768 26.6 fps
Call of duty: Advanced warfare - 1366x768 37 fps
Alien isolation - 1366x768 43.4 fps
Sims 4 - 1366x768 110 fps
Titanfall - 1366x768 40 fps
Battlefield 4 - 1366x768 44 fps

cpu: Intel Core i5-4210U Dual Core (1.7GHz, Intel Turbo Boost up to 2.7GHz)
graphics card: Dedicated (NVIDIA GeForce GT 840M with 2GB Dedicated Memory)
ram: 6GB (DDR3 1600MHZ)
hard drive: 1000GB
screen: 15.6" (1366 x 768 HD Resolution)

You should see the frame rate for Goat Simulator.

The desciption gave me the impression that it came with a big bunch of games.

Am considering this, but would prefer 8Gb RAM. Decent price though but maybe worth waiting a few days to see what competition there is in the sales...

Definitely worth waiting for the new year sales. 6GB is enough for most applications. Not sure it's worth holding out for 8gb. Remember ram is one of the easiest things to upgrade on a laptop.
