"sophisticated" + "Acer" in one sentence, LOL.

Not voted on this but would you not be better off with this one for £20 more http://direct.tesco.com/q/R.207-2571.aspx much better cpu & the rest of the spec is more or less the same
Athlon TF-20 http://www.cpubenchmark.net/cpu_lookup.php?cpu=AMD+Athlon+TF-20
Intel celeron T3000 http://www.cpubenchmark.net/cpu_lookup.php?cpu=Celeron+Dual-Core+T3000+%40+1.80GHz
It's worth £20 of my money, I have been looking at these kind of laptops for weeks now.Looking for one for my daughters birthday

This processor is really poor - as a comparison the single core Celeron 900 which is still available in some laptops is over twice as powerful.

mumbojumbo
2 things. Yes, you are right the T3000 is the more powerful processor, but the trade-off is that it will come with Intel integrated graphics as opposed to the ATI Radeon HD 3200 GPU on the first machine. The TF-20 is more than capable for browsing the web and office tasks and the graphics chip will handle some fairly demanding games albeit at a reduced frame rate. Both are budget chips. Horses for courses...

I see what you meen mumbo, Its a pity they did'nt put the T3000 with the HD3200 would have been a much better all round machine.
Will the gma be able to handle any type of basic gaming very well.Im thinking sims.
