Are you sure it has a 3 cell battery? Most netbooks come with a 6 cell.

If only... unfortunately many come with 3-cell.

£5 off with code SS5 + 2% quico

So that would bring it down to 144.99 - 2% = +/- £142

Does anyone know if they ship electronics (i.e. this netbook) also directly from one of the Channel Islands? Don't want to be bitten by customs...

I have a netbook and would never change it for an ipad despite the price difference.
Apple products are locked down, netbooks on the other hand are Windows/Linux based and can pretty much do whatever a laptop/desktop can do excluding top end gaming etc. Personally I think netbooks are a fantastic invention, squeezing a full PC down to the size and weight of a book would have been absolutely unthinkable 15 years ago. I don't understand why so many people miss the point and moan about how you may as well buy an ipad or high end gaming laptop instead. For the purpose they were designed for netbooks are awesome!

2 Possibilities;
1. a Troll
2. a complete idiot

Either way, not worth a response.

When they do ship from offshore the VAT and other duties will be prepaid.

Unfortunately that code is not working - allthough I have receiced an email with that code from TheHut today and it is also as 'active' on quidco with no product restrictions.. oO

Pretty much same here. Been looking for a dual core netbook with half ok-ish graphics for a while now to hit the £200 pricerange. Not sure if this will happen anytime soon though so may just wait for the Dual cores with integrated graphics to go down in price. Currently the £220 Samsung 150 Plus is the best I can find.

hot, £239 at John Lewis (and even sold out there)

can get a 6 cell for £42 from ebay but it seems like a crappy China import.

How would this compare to a Dell Mini 1018 at £199 from Amazon? Same spec but windows 7?
