You can get a VGA dsub for the 360, after doing a little research it seems that this monitor has no other inputs(no coaxial, composite).

dot pitch 0.284mm is ok, and 5ms response time is average.

I use a older TFT monitor than this for my 360 and its fantastic through DSUB you can alter the resolutions

Is it not possible to get a non-elongated monitor these days?
#10
Please note this does NOT have DVI! Analogue only....

Tesco is selling these for 119£. I had a look last Saturday - simply tacky. In pictures monitor looks great, but in reallity very dissapointing...
Also no DVI just a single D-SUB input.
For extra 35£ you can get this 20" LG: http://www.ballicom.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=302726&BalliCom=9e2863739f49de094d8a09913adee215

You can get DVI-VGA converters, useful bit of kit! Handy if you want duel monitor as most graphics cards have both a VGA and DVI port ;-)

When I first got my 360 this time last year, I bought an Acer AL1916WS to go with it, same resolution as this but a previous model, and it was fantastic, held me over several months until I got myself an HDTV. This will be good for the 360 and PS3 as it is HD Ready, you can get 720p resolutions + on this.

I have one of these in my spare computer room and its been excellent with the PC, haven't tried it with the 360 though, but considering how good its predecessor was....

Some company's still do 4:3 monitors, but with PC's becoming much more of a media playing device, and most media being more suited to 16:9/10 aspect, old square sides will soon be dieing out.

As long as the response time is less than 16ms, then it doesn't really matter, you won't see a noticeable difference between a 2ms/5ms/8ms. I used to have a Dell 2007wfp monitor which was 16ms and had no problem with that.

You get a better quality picture using DVI... Which is most likely why these monitors are being sold off. Presumably, the next generation will have HDMI, but for now if you can get DVI it is nice to have.

does any one have one of these and do they have that auful acer huge logo displayed on the screen when you switch it on.

the acer ones at your college did

other wise i may get 1

Is it possible to get HD quality from this monitor using an Xbox 360 VGA cable to connect the 360 to the monitor?
#28
 Yep

but as someone else said.. might be worth a few quid more for 21" for 360 ( i has this screen on my PC its a good piece of kit if you ask me )

Just don't forget you have to sort out the Audio for our self as it has on audio on the TV, not a issue for PC's but a problem for the 360 ( from what i can remember i used a converter that you pluged in the red and white audio from the VGA lead to make it into a male 1.5mm socket??? ( normal Headphone type end ).. then pluged this into the audio input of the PC which then in turn then came out the PC Speakers ( if you know what i mean ) lol no doubt an easyer way round it but it worked for me....hope this helped...

Should I be getting HD resolutions within the console settings? When I connect the xbox 360 to my HD TV I get to choose between different HD resolutions, but when I connect it to this monitor using the VGA cable, they're nowhere to be seen. They're just normal screen resolutions.
