Don't forget 4% quidco as well !

looks good so far until the full reviews are out with what kind of panel Acer P243W uses.
#3
yes looks good but i cant find any reviews!

It'll be some TN panel for that price. I bet it won't do 1:1 mapping either. Be good for standard stuff I suspect, like surfing and excel etc.

The day Acer produce a decent panel, is the day I dance a merry jig with my pants on my head.

Still a cracking price, if you wnat a big screen to do your work on!!

It's a TN panel. 160/160 Viewing angles. PVA or IPS panels are 178/178

But if this panel is worse than the HP2207 then maybe you made the right choice:D

You paid 329 pounds for HP2207? Good job! ;-)
You can buy the HP2207 for 230 pounds here:

or for a similar price in many other places! :whistling:

Some vague details at Acer's site - http://global.acer.com/PRODUCTS/monitor/P_series.htm#
It does look a decent step up from the other cheap Acer 24 inchers at least in terms of the stand and connectivity. If they’ve spent more on that side of things it doesn’t bode well for the panel maybe!

its not very good then if its a TN panel

The Samsung 226BW uses a TN panel (even the 'S' model) and it's a superb monitor!

I posted this about a week ago (my thread did get slightly messy tho and I couldn't edit it).

They do 22", 20" and 19" also. They seem to be cheaper on amazon than play. £169.99 del on amazon for the 22"

I couldn't find anything in the way of reviews either.

Not as good as an IPS panel. Its good for a TN panel and the fast response times benefit gamers the most.

I have a 2232bw with the same panel and i'll admit that it has its flaws.

Im looking to get either a 22" or a 24" (would prefer a 24") to mainly play my 360 on but also to watch a bit of freeview.

Dont know whether to go for something like the Samsung 225MW, LG 22LS4R, or LG M228WA which are all 22" (720p/1080i) but have Scart and Component inputs like a TV or go for a 24" (1080p) like this one and buy a VGA cable (to connect the 360) and a freeview box with HDMI.

Might wait and see what reviews say about this one as the price is great but the quality may suffer.

Worth spending/saving up a few extra quid and buying another 24" monitor. Sadly none are perfect, then it depends on which reviews you happen to read to help you make a judgement. :(

Looking for reviews on The Hyundai W240D amongst others, if anyone knows of one, let me know PLEASE

£240 seems better to me than £289 but I don't know enough about the technical stuff as to whether the two models are comparable in performance.
Hope this helps somebody.

The downside is lack of DVI and HDMI inputs. The latest model has those plus faster response and better contrast:thumbsup: .

Has anyone managed to get hold of this?

If so, what's the result? as there aren't any reviews around yet. I think its a TN panel but that doesn't really bother me too much as I'm not going to use it from the side/standing up and the response time seems excellent for gaming.

I have one on pre-order but not sure when its back in stock.
