On the Acer website (and others) it states that it is an LED monitor, nice. (S221HQLbd)

seeing as this is HDCP, does it mean I could get a HDMI > DVI adapter and be able to use my PS3 with it? I realise there'd be no sound then though :{

Yes it does, as seen in this vid review:

http://youtu.be/MI7UyDEm7BE

however, a few reviews all say that this monitor has poor black levels (i.e no true black) so while this is a cracking price and i practically got my wallet out, i'll be giving this a miss..
Not sure I could live with greyish blacks..
#14
for £86 I may be able to live with greyish blacks.

I also had my eye on a benq monitor, just so damn tempting at this price!! Anyone got a comparison between the two?

Great find OP.

Not at all shabby. Tempting...
#17
Very tempted by this - but I've just about decided that I really want to use it as a computer monitor, not for watching DVDs or TV, so a 16:10 ratio would be a better option. Not very many about now, though, but this one looks OK

Voted hot on this deal anyway, it's a good price if you really want a 16:9.
#18
I believe I have this monitor and my only complaint is the slight reflective screen in day light.

Why's that ratio better? I've always thought as long as your o/s and apps could do that resolution natively then all good and in this case a higher resolution would be even better, certainly for browsing, documents etc. What am I missing?

I think at 22" the text onscreen at HD resolution is a tad bit on the small side. So if you're going to be doing alot of reading as opposed to watching movies or playing games, then a lower resolution might be better.
ultimately depends on an individuals eyesight and preference i guess.
#22
I wouldn't exactly call 1680 x 1050 low resolution. With 16:10 you gain screen height, which among other thing means less scrolling. With a larger screen, say 24", you can have two Word docs open side by side. I haven't enough space (or money!) for a screen that size though!

couldnt resist, bought it :|

Gone for one after the ebuyer cancellation fiasco :(
#31
I bought one of these after Ebuyer let me down on the Samsung deal, won;t be using them again in a hurry. Order around 10am one day, arrived the next day at 1pm - great service. Have to say well pleased with the monitor - a noticable step up from my Dell 19" monitor and Modern Warfare 2 looks very good on it. Great value. Thanks to the op.

£129.99 now

Have some heat OP, just bought it couple of minutes ago even though it has gone up to £89.99.

Great find indeed.

Cheers
