Wouldn't have it any other way!
resistive = useable with gloves = great in winter

My only nit about the acer phones is that they lack RAM, this only has 128mb and 256mb ROM, the same as a tytn II, which was great about 2 years ago...
188g! :w00t::whistling:
I haven't voted cold, because it is a good deal compared with other places. However, a word of caution for people thinking about buying..... I had one of these for about a month and there is a fault on some of them. In essence the phone signal bar jumps up and down like a yo-yo. One minute 4 bars, 2 seconds later 0 bars, then it jumps up to 1 bar etc. etc.

It meant that for a lot of the time I was able to receive calls or make them. The phone was eventually returned to Acer who admitted that there was a problem ("The problem isn't unknown to us") and they were unable to mend it or send me a replace for at least 5 weeks. So I go my money back.

Having said that,if the phone had worked properly this was a cracking PDA and I would have kept it, but there isn't a lot of point in a phone that you casn't use.

You may be lucky and get a good one, but it is a pain if, like me, you get a dud (and according to other posts on the net I wasn't the only one!).
i tried one and was disapointed, it was a bit better when flashed with a better Rom than the Acer rom and its awful shell!....
yeah! folk who want this should be aware they need to flash to one of the custom roms to make it a decent phone
People actually like resistive screens?, try an Iphone capacitance screen it's a different world.

Tried and hated, the screen seemed unresponsive(as I have found with other capacitive screens), with a resistive you can use many things to drive the screen.

Maybe phone manufactorers should think about screens using a hybrid tech? Or doing versions of both?

anyone can link to a rom and how to install is it easy with instruction to thanks can you revert back to the old rom?

Found these roms for the m900 is anyone is interested:

I dont know much about the mobile frequency side of things, will this work as a full speed 3G device on the 3 network?
I am using mine on 3 web use seems pretty fast if you have a good 3g signal. You should be aware that it won't officially be supported so Planet 3 isn't accessible, MSN+Skype custom apps won't be available but you can use others but they will use part of your data allowance. You can check your balance etc on the phone. Texting works but I haven't tried MMS or video calls as I don't use these. It was easy to configure to my work Exchange server for email.

do you know which one of these is the best ?
Had this phone for a week and sent it back. The screen is fantastic, but too dark and unusable for a Sat Nav, as the software keeps switching the screen off - even if you have it plugged into a charger.

Battery life and memory was a bit better with the "lite" ROM which you can get from the website mentioned above, but you still won't get past a working day with the battery capacity Acer have chosen.
My partner brought this phone,he loves it and is a good price for it..
