I think its a decent price for Vista Business and a decent spec. I order PC's all the time and at the minute business machines with a decent spec arenot cheap

Not sure I would trust Play mind!

I wouldn't trust either Acer or Play. Acer's repair department take forever to return any warranty repairs, up to 18 weeks for a simple motherboard replacement, and then Play is well erm... Play. I'll keep to buying the not so costly items form them.

Not going to vote as I couldn't tell you if it is a great deal or not as I wouldn't even try to look because its Acer

Upto 18 weeks or your repair took 18 weeks? I know Acer are not favoured much on here but 18 weeks to re-fit a motherboard!!!! :w00t:

I think if it was my unit I would have had either a new laptop or a refund before 18 weeks...............that it totally unreasonable amount of time...........even with the sale and supply of goods act.

As an owner of a Travelmate I can say a few things.

1. They are badly assembled and the screws fall out.
2. They ship with bloat ware.

3. If you format the HDD and install a clean OS they are great.
4. They are strongly constructed in regards to materials. You can drop them and whack them around without doing any damage. Until the screws fall out :(.
