The projector is about £234 (plus shipping)

A spare lamp is almost exactly the same price!!

Someone is being taken for a ride!
just worked it out in our house the bulb would only last 1 year:x

the 4000 hour bulb hours is more than norm, most projector bulbs only last for about 3000.

don't really know the quality of this model but the price and bulb life seem hot. Price of bulbs is a bit dear, for my project it's about £120, but they have 3,000 hour life. Also, to get a case/bag and a remote control for it is another £18 so will go warm on this
I bought a BenQ projector last year for £200 and only used around 10 hours on the bulb so far...I use it more for social occassions than as a day to day thing

Just like colour laser printers, once the consumables have run out time to buy a whole new unit!
I am planning on buying one of these for my wife in the next couple of weeks, they have got really good reviews and seem to be excellent value for money !

SVGA however, but I don't want to step up another 100 or so to XGA, we'll mainly run sky through it so wont b worried about resolution that much
