#6
You failed to include the 97p in the price.
#7
i doubt this is nationwide, going to be difficult to find one, i have given it some heat anyway
#8

looks like a 1 off
#9
I'll check it out, not going to hold my breath though, these 97's never work out! Voted hot all the same:thumbsup:
#10

How can you tell its OOS everywhere?
#13
Bargain.

No, it wont work with your PS3

Yes, it wil work with your xbox if you purchase the correct cable.

No, you wont tell the difference between VGA and DVI at this resolution.

Slightly off topic, but how do i set up dual screens?

You need a graphics card with 2 outputs, either 2 DVI, or one DVI and a D-Sub (blue connector).
Most graphics cards these days have 2 outputs....sometimes even 3 with HDMI becoming more popular.

You can get software which allows you to extend your software onto another screen....so you could have alot more than 2, but it can be hard to manage.

This offer is very very tempting, but I've not really got the room for it :(
#16
Has anyone actually managed to get one of these?
Is it nationwide?
#17
If its Nationwide verrry hot would probably buy 2 or 3
#18
tempting if i could get one
#19
£99.97 - pretty sure anything that Currys sell that ends in 97p means its an end of line product, so better get in there quickly befor they all run out.
#20
Good find, bought one of these for around £150 and thought that was fantastic.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Just because your graphics card has 2/3 outputs DOES NOT mean it will support multiple monitors on them.

Many cards just send the same display to each port - you need specific multi-monitor support on your card to get multiple displays working - check your card's manual/specs online to see if it's supported before splurging on 2 monitors :)

qudos to the OP for getting a bargain and posting a picture of the receipt as evidence

but I doubt there are many available around the country, more is the pity, could have been a scorching deal
#23
If this had HDMI, I'd get it within a heartbeat...

yes, me too but if it had HDMI it wouldn't be £99.97 :)
#25
dual screens here i come! hope they have this in woking tomorrow morning
#26
Having seen the price of 24" monitors drop so low in recent months I can't help but think there is something they aren't telling us. Even so, snap up a bargain while you can
#27
Since this seems to have sparked interest in dual screens, just thought I'd add this to the mix:

Display Fusion

The free version allows you to have dual screen wallpaper.
The licensed version adds dual taskbar and Aero 7 support.
#28
i popped in local pcworld in stretford manchester and they had none in stock and said that the only store on their system that had them were in Liverpool. 2 new ones available.

I've given you a Link to the easy way to set-up Dual or Triple.I've gone for Triple as it's much cheaper these days. You can buy these on ebay for around £100.

yes, me too but if it had HDMI it wouldn't be £99.97 :)

if only ... as it would free up your normal tv and you could have this monitor soley for your xbox/ps3 . wifes would be happy as they can have corrie / eastenders on all night and us guys can go gun crazy with c.o.d / res evil etc on our 24 inchers . everyone happy .

No DVI
Norse
That's a little disappointing, but an otherwise decent 24" monitor for under £100 is very hot!

No, otherwise the 16:9 format is a bit disappointing, too. I would really prefer 1920x1200. The price is still good, but I am happy to pass.

How does it compare to Ultramon (if you have tried it)

Haven't tried that, will have a look, cheers.

Display Fusion did its job well though. Only used it for the cross-monitor wallpaper feature but, given that many Windows desktop apps are awful, I was pleasantly surprised by how smoothly it worked.

if you dont find any in woking then there are loads in the guildford store.
#36
It looks on other pages that this does HDCP.
I assume this means then I could use a HDMI->DVI converter, and use this as a television, for use with Sky and BluRay ?

Did you even bother to read the OP or any posts on the deal?

Its only input is analogue D-Sub (the old fashioned monitor connectors before DVI)...

So it isn't HDCP compliant.

I'd be surprised if a 24" 1080p monitor didn't have DVI as it has been around long enough. Maybe the OP can confirm as everywhere else states it has VGA and DVI connections.

According to http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18009452 it does have a DVI-D input.
