I found this deal on Amazon, It was 649 and now is 374.
I think it's a good price for the system:
AMD Athlon II X3 425 (2700mhz) (tricore)
3GB of ram
Windows 7 home premium
Monitor included (19 tft Monitor)
500GB Hard Disk

I think it's a very good PC if you don't need it for extreme Gaming/Video Editing.

This is my first submit, be easy and sorry for my english :)

for that price you can get a laptop with similar spec, not voting by the way.

good price, good spec, and no laptop at this price would be as fast as this.

(please show tri core-laptop at £374) lol

Didn't this model appear **** cheap as refurbs on acerdirect?

I seem to recall being very tempted at the time.
Though there was some mention of overheating problems.

depends what you want....portability or expandability.....the desktop will outlast the laptop by a few years........in less than 2 years your laptop will be so slow itll only be good as a doorstop as the only thing you can really upgrade is possibly the memory (depends on make)

avoid i got the one below random power surges fan starts to scream with nothing running white screens and acer will not help telling u to return to comet .. its an emachine thats been jumped on and shoe horned into a smaller case

This is not a good deal for almost 400 quid... the CPU is slow for a desktop, it only has a 500GB HD, and 3GB of RAM. Much better desktop deals have been posted.

(please show tri core-laptop at CHF 529.8 (£374)) lol

The extra core doesn't make it faster than dual core intel i-series parts.

Really? I have a 4 year old laptop that I upgraded to 2GB of ram and it's still running everything fine, Office, iTunes etc and it's running Vista too! That not withstanding i agree with the benefits of a desktop over a laptop

seems to have dropped further to £349.99 - looking for two for a pre-school with a budget of £800 this seems quite a good deal to me!
