Doh, just brought one from tescos for £149. Very good deal, although the one I've just brought from tescos is to replace a 1 year old 15" acoustic solutions lcd that has stopped working properly, so maybe its a good thing I didn't see this.

Haha same here. DVD also packed up on mine, skips and won't even play after a few seconds. Guess its a fault with those models.

Acoustic solutions cant be compared with a Samsung or LG but def. worthy buy for the price & standard 12 month warranty with ease of exchange thru local Argos stores

I picked up 2 X 15" of these prior to Xmas on ebay around £85 - £90 + del each for the kids Xmas presents, obvious returns (some paint on one of the plugs) noticed a pixel missing on both screens (purchased from different traders so a common fault I guess but you hardly notice)

All said and done not a bad price for a kids TV thats the way I look at it...;-)

Just bought one from ebay second hand, exact spec for 125 so should have waited!

I have a 15" model, picture is fine for a bedroom, sound is very tinny but to be expected. Can't really complain for the price. Decent branded ones go for about £200.
#11
Well the contrast ratio is 450:1 that doesn't sound good :(
But for this price you can hardly complain.
#12
If you want a top quality tv - then make sure you get a branded model from LG, Sony, Samsung etc. You MUST remember it is not just the panel but the software/hardware that drives the screens. If you look at hitachi the panels are ok but the software/hardware is dire... but then they are often cheaper that the better TVs - the debate will go on and on...

Good price voted Hot

We got one of these a year ago same model no but without freeview (found on HD!) I think then it was £140 IIRC, it has a good picture, sound is good, With the inclusion of freeview it makes this a good deal,
I wouldn't hesitate with our experience to recommend it.
To those that say only buy brand names, our main tv is a Panasonic it is also 10 times the price (well should have been if it hadn't been for this site:thumbsup:!!) this TV ticks all the boxes and is good value for money and I am sorely tempted to get this one for the kids (saves arguments...)

I have a 15" Acoustic Solutions in my dining room, I would not want to have this as a TV that I watch a lot as I think the flaws would get on my nerves. The TV is fine for occasional use but in my opinion it's too dark (fiddling with the settings makes little difference) and the sound is terrible, the viewing angle also leaves a lot to be desired.

On the plus side it is a pretty solid performer and I don't suffer too much digital break up on the set and the teletext is fast in use. It also has a built in TV guide and signal strength indicator. Not sure if this one does.

Connectivity

HDMI socket.

DVI socket.

1 SCART socket.

PC input socket.

Component video socket.

Composite.

Headphone socket.

S-video socket.

Rear AV socket.

From the PC input socket detailed above does this mean I can use this item as both a LCD monitor and TV?

great deal voted hot ,just wish my argos store had one on display so i could see it in action
thinking of buying 2 and buying £35 cover for 3 years ,( just 1 policy) that way if one of them breaks within 3 years ill get replacement or value back in vouchers. i would have preffered the set not to have freeview but cant have everything and it does seem to tick most boxes as mentioned already

I bought one of these today after seeing it here yesterday, it's sitting here in the box......The manageress and clerk couldn't believe the price...It wasn't in the catalogue.....it was in a circular.... I think they each bought one.

I wanted black, but there aren't any. I've been looking for a 19" flat screen and the Freeview is a perk...How do I apply heat?........" Smokin Hot"

So any reviews?? Thinking of getting one to replace my old 14" CRT set that I've had donkey's years (it has no scart socket, that's how old!!!)
