Currently out of stock for home delivery
This item cannot be reserved for store pick up.

Virtually zero chance of getting one then.
#4
Just tried entering the item number, 529/2002, in at a branch and the item does not exist. Looks like it was delivery only and they're all gone.

I rang the automated check and reserve number and then entered the store code for my local standard Argos stores. My local Argos superstore had one in stock and thus reserved.

The problem is, I don't think my wife will let me have it.

I'm so under the thumb it hurts!!! :-(

I had one, was the most horrible LCD TV ever. Picture is very lacking and it buzzed really loudly. It also had a blue neon standby light that was enough to light up the whole room. Could'nt sleep with it on and had to switch off at the mains every night. Cheap, but it's no Tosh/Sony/Samsung.

I had a rather nasty CD-player/alarm clock like that. The LED was so bright
it gave the room a ghostly hue (great for horror movies :-D ). I fixed that
by simply putting a bit of black tape over the LED. Wouldn't fix your buzzing
tho' That sounds like a fault & cause to return it.

ive had the older one without HD for around 2 years now

brilliant TV , never given me problems and picture is perfect !
#18
Is this a good deal? Quality wise?

Is the instore price £299?

At least if you don't like it you can return under their 30 day rule, right? :)
#19
BUY BUY BUY!!

Seriously, you'd be barking mad not to at-least give it a shot.... Gonna give HDMI a whizz later with a compatable dvd player :w00t:

Dont be such a tart, just turn it off by the mains, save energy and lower your carbon footprint.

First impressions Dusty?

Could u tell the item was from an old catalogue?
When did you first find the price reduction, at the till?

If the price in store is really £239 I would spend the 30 mins on ring and reserve to try and find one!

Same here, I had one with the same fault, took it back to Argos in Manchester and shouted to the guy on customer service, "Hey mate this tele's buzzin" and he said "Thanks, glad you like it"

Freeview 9
Sky 10
Analogue 7
HDMI DVD 10

For me its a fantastic TV for the money. As for the discounted price, at the time of reserving it the price was £299, when I got to the shop the next day at the Argos self checkout terminals it came out at £239.99 I nearly pee'd meself :w00t:

I found one and reserved. I also used the quick service kiosk-thing but my price came up @ £299 ....... I deliberated and left it. Woulda tried it @ £239.

schnipps, voted hot and rep left, was a good find.
