That's a fantastic saving then - voted hot

Still too expensive for me to consider though, but I still have my 19" one that does good enough for me :)

Good price but looks a bit clunky at the bottom.

Hi Guys....

Does anyone have any experience from owning one of these monsters?

Looking to buy one but need a little feedback before i take the plunge.
Also...whats the standard warranty on these?

Or does anyone have any better suggestions as to spend this type of money on something else of a similar size?

Forgot to say that the lady mentioned this TV has 3 years FREE warranty. Perhaps, someone else can confirm this :)

I may also go for this if the feedback is positive !

At this size I'd personally recommend the Panasonic PX70, closer to £800 though including stand from Richer Sounds, there is a 37" version too.

Thanks for the info...but unfortunately nearly £300 more than I hope to spend.

Never heard of the make before...If it last longer than the warranty then that’s always a plus.

Will I get a full screen output with my Xbox 360 (which I am still yet to play on since I don't have the TV....discipline of a monk I tell you)
#11
sorry...forgot. I think it is a good deal so heat added
#12
Fair enough then I guess, but bear in mind you get what you pay for. Acoustic Solutions are the pinnacle of budget speakers.
#13
cheap rubbish avoid like the plague youl need the 3 year warranty as it will be getting repaired half its life

dont buy its a bit pricey for a poor make
#14

How can an LCD panel with a resolution of just 1366x768 be high definition ready?! Seems rather low resoluton to me...
#21
Price is £499.99.If you put the catalogue number, 5364143 into the search box, the price of £499.99 comes up as a reduction from £699.99.

Don't forget to go through Nectar, seeing as this is a delivery only job, as they give 2 points per £1 spent.

Oh and a dam good deal. I have the 32" freeview version and I am very happy with it. Picture quality is great, seems better than my in laws Sony set!

Acoustic Solutions are cheap and nasty. Buy cheap buy twice! I'd recommend compromising on the size and going for a better brand, like Samsung, who's sets are fairly cheap and great quality.
#26
had nothing but trouble with my samsung. they shoved a load of cheap lcds in their sets and expect to get away with it. after 3 repairs and coming back with a gash in the front i had enough with them and their horrible support service. i got my money back and got a toshiba. much better.
#27
Going for a Panasonic this weekend. The TX32LMD70 at £499.99. My ex has one and the 360 looked incredible on it.
#28
I used to work in a Samsung TV factory, I bought a 32" Acoustic Solutions TV 9 months ago as posted on this site. The picture quality is OK for watching normally telly and DVDs, however the sound distorts so badly that in some American programs it's hard to hear what is said over background noise.

But you pay your money you take your choice!:? :?

Can't comment on Acoustic Solutions TV's, but own a DVD player of the same make. Trouble-free performance for the 3 years that I've owned it, no problems and frankly I don't see how spending 3 times the amount on a Sony (or other make) DVD player would have made any worthwhile difference.

Agreed that this post is for the TV, my comments are really on the brand and I think I would happily buy the brand if I needed a TV. Excellent price too!

You may be correct with regard to DVD players but TVs are a different ball game and the differences between the low end of the market and the quality sets can be very large. I’d be extremely wary of buying this.

I too would recommend going for leading brand when buying a large screen LCD or Plasma TV.

I bought a Wharfedale 42 inch LCD tv in December from Argos , reduced from £999.99 to £699.99. In fact I purchased 2, one for myself and one for my son. Alas, I had to return both within a week as they developed faults.

I learned through this experience that cheapest is not always best.

We now have Panasonic (widely recognised as one of the best) and they are a fantastic bit of kit.

I would advise staying clear of the cheap makes when considering electronics.

How is that a low resolution? It's more than 720p!

Say what? Comparing a DVD player to another is nothing like a television. The DVD player just has the process the data and feed it to the TV, there's not much that can go wrong in between. TVs are displaying the image and (a lot of the time) giving you the sound, there's a lot of difference in the quality of televisions. You can pick up top notch DVD players for about £90 now, so you can spend £30 on a naff one anyway, it'll play movies fine, but you pay extra for quality, reliability, connections and features.

I have to agree that although the price is good, the quality is awful.

when you pay that price for a tv you expect quality but you will not get it with acoustic solutions.

After i got that 27" LG my family got a 26" Acoustic solutions and the quality is awful, when anyone moves the colours are just shocking, and thats not even watching sport!

Just avoid!

I'd suggest you send it back then. We got the 26" about 6 months ago and it has been great. Xbox 360 is crystal clear, sound is o.k but with a few treaks to the equaliser and dynamic bass it can be quite good. Not had any picture problems whatsoever, everytime a program or dvd seems bright or dull, one of the presets seem to sort it out.

I think LCD's are a matter of taste with regards to picture and sound. My Parents have a 42" LG and quite frankly it is shocking. But they seem to like it.
