because faults are easier to hide on a smaller tv, but if you are going 40", you got to take it seriously

I have the 42" version of this, which was branded as Wharfedale, which I got from Argos at Christmas and it also came with a 3 year warranty (including accidental breakage!) all for £500.

Whilst not as good a deal as mine, it's a bit cheaper. I've had not problem with my TV at all. The quality is great and it works on HDMI, component and scart as well as any Samsung that I've used.

Don't be put off by the naysayers as this will make a fine television for not much cash. Argos also do 9 months interest free credit on it as well, to sweeten the deal.

voted hot.

Not quite true mate, depends what your looking for. Personally would always get an LCD if its available, but Plasma's tend to be cheaper at the larger end of the market.
