You won't actually 'own' anything - you'll just be on a database.

You can't buy land on the moon.

Some people like this kind of quirky gift but there you go (_;)

I'll sell you a certificate saying you own 2 acres for £5. Or an acre of any planet you like - an acre of Uranus anybody?

invitation to treat right there.... I will take a couple of acres of earth please.

Beware if they try and sell you an acre on the dark side, as you will never be able to see it to check if anybody has built on it ;-)

Happy to print you a certificate for £5. It'll be just as valid as the one in this post!

Hate to question your knowledge, but don't you mean the FAR side? The dark side of the moon can still be the side facing us, it just isn't lit up by the sun. The far side is the side we never see, is lit by the sun as often as the near side and is actually much less than half of the total surface area, because the moon 'wobbles' a bit and isn't always facing straight towards us. Sorry, i watch a lot of the Discovery Channel.

Does anyone know if Ryan air fly there. Or do they land on a neighbouring planet and bus you in.

There is no dark side of the Moon really. Matter of fact, it's all dark.

What a load of crud.
The moon is dark half the time, the same as the Earth.

Yes, the moon makes one full rotation on it's axis for every orbit of the Earth. with one side of the moon always facing the Earth. And it doesn't matter how much we can see of the moon, half is lit by the sun.

Have you ever heard of a small insignificant album that didn't sell many copies called "Dark side of the moon" ?
I think it was by a group called Pink Floyd but I'm not too sure.

Just found a tiny reference to it here.

Have a listen to the last track, Eclipse. http://i305.photobucket.com/albums/nn219/jumpingphil/thumbsup.gif

Listen to the track again and listen to the Irish guy and what he says.

I take it you're not a Pink Floyd fan then, even though you have the album.
