Another great bargain for the collection, (how we used to be, the memories!), if you come scross any tall freestanding CD racks cheap on your travels! Thanks.

Got 2 of these side by side. They look really smart. It's about 6' 6" tall.

Thanks, about £40.00 to much for me lol. Am in the process of putting all the albums on SD but i still cant bear to part with the originals! Fiancee says its either the CD's or me though unless i tidy them all up, (they are tidy, so long as people tread carefuly, i cant help loose floorboards!)

I bought tickets for Spandau Ballet a few weeks ago, need to dust of the white stilletos now, lol

I'm just reading Adam Ant's auto biog at the mo. Very interesting!!

I went to see him at The Bloomsbury theatre a couple of years ago-it was sort of a launch for the Bio-he read extracts from it and sang songs to an acoustic guitar. It was really good to see him looking and sounding well again-I look forward to seeing him if he decides to tour .
Xtina fan-I am just a little bit jealous of the Spandau tickets but am happy to lend you my white plastic handbag to dance around,it'll go beautifully with your shoes!!

Picasso Visita El planeta De Los Simios, one of my favourite songs ever

I know this was posted an hour or so after Andy put this album on but there's a pretty exhaustive list of the cheap cds/dvds from sendit here:

Yes, he did suffer from mental health issues.

Hot. I think this is a great 2 x cd compilation, wonder who compiled it. Fantastic price. And it avoids the horrible Manners And Physique which came later :)
#15
The first proper LP I bought was Kings of the Wild Frontier around 1981 I think. First single I bought was Stand and Deliver.

The Hut has this for 4p more but those Quidco users could get 5% off

I dont say this about many so called 'musicians' these days .... cos most are mime artistes - hence the demise of TOTP .. however .. this guy was way ahead of his time along with the bloke Marco chappie... nice. And this is a proper bargain .... great. I am off to see Ultravox at Nottm Royal Centre this Tuesday - is that worth any kudos?. Was gonna go to Spandau but at sixty quid a ticket plus about a fiver booking fee .. thats a helluva expensive night out for two .. so stuff 'em!.

Anyway - both Mr Ant and even some old Undertones stuff still holds up well today ...

As Spitting Image once sang "Is it me or is the music these days shite?"

Answer ... 'its *****' ... step forward Duffy et al ...

Er.. rant over .. now .... you can carry on with your discussion :?

Yup, I did say this in the description. But thanks for pointing it out again, for those who missed what I put in the blurb

I for one will get this. I loved him then, and am still a huge fan. I was only listening to Dirkwearswitesox the other day. Absolutley fab. I have seen them a few times, and would travel to the other end of the country to see them again should they do some gigs.
I have also read his auto biog. Riveting.

HOTHOTHOT.

Have ordered Dirk as well. Seeing as it has been digitally remastered and all. Both for under a tenner. Bargain.

Just got this: "Due to limited stock available at the price advertised on our website at the point of placing your order for Dandy Highwaymen: The Best Of it has been necessary to cancel your order and we regret any inconvenience that this may cause.

We can confirm that payment has not been taken and you are free to re-order at the correct price should you wish."

:-( I'll try looking on Thehut.com. Edit: Ack, they don't have it.

I got the same message - 22 days after ordering! :x Had a couple of "We're still following this up with our suppliers and we'll keep you updated on the status of your order." emails.

Did not specify "limited stock available" at the point of ordering and was showing as being in stock when I did order. Typical "we need to get out of this one" attitude in my book.

This is the first time I used this company - and it will be the last. :x

I got the "pending order" emails too, a bit shoddy in my opinion, keeping us waiting (it was a birthday pressie, luckily a while away). Just have to buy it elsewhere! :-( Wonder if anyone actually got this?
