Wow!
Hope this is a real one. Thanks very much, just ordered one on next day delivery.
#2
Only thing putting me off this is possibility of maxtor drives being used, otherwise very good deal, voted hot
#3
Not sure if they'll honour it as my email states they've received my 'Order Request' but worth a shot!

:)
#4
price should be £1,189 + VAT so mispriced by a factor of 10x !!!!! Ordered, but doubt it will be honoured.
#6
If they advertise something at that price, dont they have to sell it at that price?

Nope.

"This email is confirmation that we have received your order. It does not constitute contractual acceptance of the order you have placed. We are currently verifying your selected payment method and checking that your order remains available at the price(s) advertised on this website when you placed your order. If the price or availability has changed we will notify you by e-mail or telephone within 1 business working day of receipt of this e-mail. "

I think it's an "invitation to offer" so they can decline your offer if they so wish
#9
their T&Cs can get them out of that if they notice in time - I'm hoping that they just check the price on the website etc and bang it out for next day delivery before realising their error.

I'm sure everyone else is hoping the same though! :)
#10
Here's hoping i'm wrong - but I read their T&C and the Errors and Omissions section seems to mention circumstances like this.

But I hope I'm wrong - I want it!

I've had plenty of orders from several retailers charge me, cancel an order and refund me, promising you something does not legally oblidge them to honour it, DSG being the biggest culprits but others have done it too.

Order by all means, just do not expect it to be honoured, if it is, your're very lucky.

No - it's an "offer to treat" until a contract is entered into. There were a number of examples of loosely worded email responses "accepting" orders in times past (Argos and Sony TVs come to mind). Just about everyone has got their act in gear now unfortunately :-' Nowadays you just get an acknowledgenent.

Ordered 1 - will be a nice add on to my HTPC storage if it comes off (which I doubt!)
#14
Let's keep our fingers crossed....
#15
They've fixed the price.
#16
Price has gone WAY up...

As soon as they take your money they're obligied.

But that's actually taking money from the card which they won't do until dispatch anyway.
#18
Price corrected now.
#19

Well I've paid using their Paypal option (direct debit even) so I think the money has already been taken... Wondering how the law applies in this case.
#27
Very good find, just missed it tho, as i am at work i couldn't order on time thru quidco! damn bargain!
#28
Flash in the pan.... ;)
#29
they can always claim out of stock?
#30
They do cover themselves in their T&Cs by saying that they are limited to refunding the money.

So even with PayPal looking unlikely, but it'll be a bit of fun with the emails bouncing back and forth

:D
#31
Interesting for those who paid by paypal!!!
#32
I paid by Paypal and got the 8% Quidco. Fingers, toes and legs well and truly crossed !

Ahh... smallprint on order confirmation:

They have one day then to talk to you right??!
#34
Boys and girls don't get to happy yet. Remember the TV's from Woolworths. Still a good laugh though. I do like these episodes, hahahaha
#35
The Dixons £1 TV was the best ;-) :p
#36
My bad :)
#37
Is there any way to track the order like other vendors. I can't find a "my order history" or something equivalent on the website.

You can track it by typing your order number in on the left hand side - where it says "Track My Order". Your order number should be in your confirmation email.
