personal membership doesnt mean you can add your second car to it though right? Not saying theres anything wrong, just clarifying what it is!

I'm sure with the AA, it's the driver thats covered not the car. So that would autoamtically mean that your 2nd car is covered.
#3
with the AA, you have the option to cover either the vehicle or the driver, so I assume this is to add a second driver onto a personal cover rather than a second car on the vehicle cover.

Vehicle cover is cheaper, so if you are only ever in one car its the better option.

Thanks

That's it :-)

I did this with my old housemate. I was added to the cover for I think £10 and then I was covered on any car I drove.

I think I read somewhere that you share the max/pa call outs though. So if you think between the two of you that you will break down alot of times in one year it might be worth baring in mind. (I think the max call outs is 9?)

Years ago I added my sister when she first started to drive, about 2 months later I needed to call the AA (first time in years) only to find they wanted to charge me an extra £125, it turned out that my sister had called them out 6 times in 2 months for all sorts of things. They let me split my sisters car from my policy which worked out ~£70, cheaper than me having to pay the extra £125 per call out for the rest of the 10 months of the policy. So as mentioned above be careful if you add someone with an unreliable car ;-)

Did this last week, it was only £5 even though the letter I received said £7

Does this price cover the full blown membership benefits. My partners has home start, relay, stay mobile etc as part of her membership. I have just the basic cover in my name free as part of my Lloyds bank gold account and to upgrade to her level of cover would cost a lot more..

When I did it it gave me the same cover as my housemate (we actually upgraded hers first as she only had basic cover) so we both had homestart.

Thanks ... Mrs Kar just sorted mine out... should have been £30+ to put me back on but the Full Monty cover for only £7

Thanks, awesome deal.

Don't know if anyone's still watching this thread, but if so, check your card statement...they charged me 12 pounds instead of 7 even though I confirmed over the phone that I was being charged 7. Will try to get money back tomorrow...
