Does it say how much of the money is going to actually adopt the lion? If they can slash the price that much, it may end up being pennies. If so, you are hardly adopting the lion.

The price reduction makes no difference to the donation. WH Smith have just reduced their margin.
I bought the similar deal a few months ago from WH SMIth for the Adopt A Dolphin, and thought it was a great little present. Voted hot.

So normally you pay £25 to adopt a lion and less than £6 actually goes to the charity? That's just wrong.

I agree its bad, but its still a hot deal. The same amount of money still goes to the Lions, and its money I wouldnt have otherwise donated to this cause.
#14
How do they deliver the lions? Must buy that cheap 4 burner BBQ from tesco.

I'm gutted I missed this, our son would have loved this for his pending birthday, he loves wild cats and animals

How much actually goes to them though? A better deal might be to buy a cheap toy lion, print your own certificate and donate the rest of the money you would have paid direct to Born Free. I notice they still charge £24 for their adopt a lion kit. If they are getting less than £6 per sale from WH Smiths, you have to wonder how WH Smiths can pocket £18 on each sale and Born Free to accept that split.
