People always seem to vote refurbs cold.

It doesn't seem a bad price to me.

I dont get why people would buy a referb? why not just buy second hand for a fraction of the price?

dont get me wrong I understand there will probably be a small warranty, but they normally last until the day after that expires anyway dont they?

personally i wouldnt, but the price is ok, and so is the spec i guess. You do get a full year warranty with it too.

Spend a little bit more and get this brand new Fujitsu with very similar specs. A better laptop and far more reliable than advent. http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/271415/fujitsu-v5535-120gb-265-delivered-w

May well be a more reliable make but hardly a similar spec, half the RAM, Celeron Mobile not Duel Core etc...

Bought 3 of these (3 Kids) 6 months ago when they were £200. You would not know they were refurbs, all 3 looked brand new. The battery life is about an hour on MSN etc but pretty poor if you play videos/DVS's. They come with a long charger lead anyway so they're plugged in more often than not.
Don't forget Quidco too.

Trust me your 16 year old will love you forever with one of these, they really do look a lot more expensive than they are and that's more important than spec when you're 16.:whistling:
You will need a blank DVD to create a restore disc when you set it up.

Do you have difficulty with the wireless on this laptop? When my daughter walks into the next room away from router she looses connection, dunno whether it is the router or the laptop!!
