Sainsburys have reduced all their chocolate advent calendars to just 10p. Includes Mars Celebrations, Kidderton (Thomas, High School Musical etc) and Milky Bar. I know its a few days into December but if you forgot to get one - now is the time. My first posting - hope it works ok!

You will be lucky to get one for 10p now. I watched one person take almost all of the calendars from my Sainsburys, he left a few so he didn't seem greedy....which were all taken by the next person. This was before 9am, and even then they were only the cheaper type. No Celebrations or Dairy Milk ones in sight.

and yes, it's all Sainsburys

Errm no i am one of 7 children and all my siblings have children and my husband also has 3 siblings with kids, so i will be giving most away of them away and i have 2 kids myself so they will have one and ill put one in there stocking for xmas too (ill take the chocolate out and put them in a nice bag)! Its xmas time for giving and for 10p why would i not buy for family?
I mean cmon, they are 10p advent calenders, the selfish ones are the buyers of things that then go and resell at stupid high prices.
#11
can just imagine going out of sainsys with 24 advent calendars...!!!!!! good deal
#12
I was doing a shop in there anyway so had alot of other things too, also they have alot of kids clothing halfprice too. welcome to UKHD OP too :)
#13
Just as a side note, it's not only advent calendars for humans that are reduced but they have advent calendars for cats that are now down to 10p too! Check the petfood section for these. :p

There clothes are good, tey used to sell adams clothes but now have there own brand called TU.
They do my kids alright for playgroup etc and school uniform is good quality too.
I got various long sleeved tops for my son aged 3-4 for £2.50 and less. Some girls pack of 3 bratz knickers for £2 and some baby stuff that was winnie the pooh too all half price ready for my new arrival in april
#16
Thanks for the tip, my kids are on at me all of the time to open more doors!

Their clothes are nice. Tops usually come up on the small side though. My 4-year old (daughter) wears age 7 from there and the 9 & 10 year old tops don't even fit my 7-year old. Bottoms are ok, maybe just get the next size up. The sales are good, so if you can get to one it's well worth a visit.
The polo shirts for school are very good, but be aware the 2-packs are only poly-cotton, but the 3-packs are 100% cotton.

i agree the clothes are really decent, i brought 2 white polo tops for my little one to wear at nursery (school uniform type) and i thought i got a bargain 2 for £2.50 but when i got to the till they were reduced to £1.25 the only gutting thing was they never had anymore size 3yr, wash very nice as well

None left near me - Leeds ring road one.

The staff get first choice at these type of things; earlier this year all the Easter eggs were reduced to 10p and it was only the cheap ones left when the store opened.

Sorry - Just seen that you'd already been & replied!

Our Sainsbury's had sold out before the end of November. They often put things down to 10p after the holiday (Easter, Christmas etc). You just have to be lucky and be there at the right time.
#37
thanks for this - got 5 from Basildon store this morning - thats 120 little chocs to decorate the xmas cake with - the kids will love it!
