Advents are a poor built quality and the spec of this is low, so I would say steer clear.

I had a Advent. It was on till the battery went to just 20 seconds life. And the explored. crashed another time. The CMOS battery went in the end. It's a tiny battery in the comp that makes the time work or something and I couldn't use laptop. Took it to be mended and the bloke ballsed it up, in the end he had it three weeks so I asked for it back, and the cheeky sod wrote down that is refused to have it fixed!! Cost me about £15. And you have about one month to fix the CMOS battery before the laptop totally dies. So I got a nice HP one from ebuyer and it's faster and nicer then the advent. The advent was my first laptop and I'd recommnend using ebuyer :).

Plus there is no help with a advent. There is one forum online that's normal people helping each other out and that it. So I'd not get a advent again at all.

Ebuyer don'y make there own laptop's, as far as i am aware.
As for regards to the Advent you purchase. If it was bought from PCWORLD,CURRYS OR DIXONS. These should be covered with a full 12 month guarante. If this product was sold as a recondition, you should be able to get a refund in the first month, and then return to base to get fix for the following 11months.
I bought a laptop from these groups of shops, and advent infact. About 9month ago. Something was right, mind it was a reconditioned one. I sent back, and received it repaired butstil not fix.
I never paid for any parts, so unless it was out of gurante, nor should have you.
