Refurbished unit with full warranty. Would make for a great media PC as it has a small case, is quiet and with having a Core 2 Duo processor rather than Atom of similarly priced units it should play HD content without issue.

poor value for a reurb and very low spec. Altho the above pc doesnt have atom the intel C2D is only 1.5Ghz. This Brand new dell is better value for money http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/472776/dell-inspiron-desktop-base-30-price/ or http://www.ebuyer.com/product/167158 or http://www.dabs.com/products/fujitsu-pa3415-amd-athlon-x2-3gb-500gb-dvdrw-vistahomepremium-623C.html

Better speed but bigger case and more fan noise so would not be as good next to your TV as a media PC!

well if you plan to use this as a media pc, this appears to have integrated graphics, which is pants for HD content.

HD playback depends on the graphics card, not so much on cpu. the more ram you have on the graphics card the better. Another problem, ITS FROM ADVENT RATED ONE OF THE WORST MANUFACTERERUR for computers. Advent is owned by the Dixons Group.

"Processing power isn't the Eco PC's strong point. It did, however, rack up a not-too-shabby 3,310 in PCMark 2005. This figure puts it in line with most laptops with a core 2 Duo CPU speed in the region of 1.5-1.8GHz. This should serve most people well, as it's fast enough to run 1080p video"

Seems like a moot argument about the HD content capabilities. There is no HD drive anyway, so why argue about how good it is. Had there been a Blu-Ray or HD DVD drive, then questions could rightly be asked. If you are talking about downloading movies, then you can either buy a graphics card or download SD versions only.

For what it is, it seems like OK value for money

hd capable or not either way i still think its expnsive for a refurbished pc by advent. This is better value i think £239.97 http://www.acerdirect.co.uk/Grade_A1_-_Acer_Aspire_L320_Desktop__A1-97.2NG9Z.UHT/version.asp?PID=495 its new not a refurb, it has 250gb hard drive instead of 160gb, 2ghz core 2 duo but only 1gb ram and i dont think it is fanless.

Screen-less laptop. I'd take this over a vanilla Atom machine for use as a desktop; the CPU in this machine is just so much more powerful.
