Is the graphics and processor any good? That's the only bit I suck at lol.

Hmmm... Advent & Currys & Refurb? What a combination, destined for disaster.

Processor is more than capable.

Graphics is an onboard ATI Radeon X1200 which sucks big time.

i agree with pet2000. I have direct experience with Currys refurbs and that of my customers.

Do not under any circumstances buy a refurb product from them,. What they mean by 'refurb' (remember PCWorld/currys dont take back returns normally) is that the customer had an annoying intermittent problem that couldnt be identified, the kind of problem that is a pain to daignose and can happen with any product.

Currys sends out their engineer, they cant find anything wrong, as intermittent faults only happen intermittently. After about twelve hours of phonecalls demanding a refund, Currys/PCWorld relent and give a refund taking the machine back.

The machine comes back into the system, the tech guy puts in recovery disk, it gets to start up, it is then switched off and repackaged up as 'refurb'.

This is how it happens, do not do it, you will regret it.

This isnt about the product, but the retailer. Any product can break, thats the nature of mass produced goods, the difference is how the issue is dealt with.
For instance, buying a refub from Apple is a no brainer, as they fully test and go to lengths to make sure their hardware is ok.

Currys do not, straight back out to the next person. Ebuyer used to do the same thing to returns that had tricky problems.

I repeat, *do not* buy refurbs from Currys or PcWorld.

I think it is very much both.... lousy companies with lousy support selling lousy products with increases your chance of needing the support!
